Hello, guys! :) Not so in the mood for writing, due to my much-tasks-to-be-done :p But well, let me tell you that somewhere in Indonesia needs your help.

Have you ever heard about Wangkung?

Wangkung is one of villages in East Manggarai district, East Nusa Tenggara. We realize this village has much potential things. The people to be educated, crabs (yummy!) and shell (ew lol) to be cooked and eaten, and its beaches =) But ironically, Wangkung doesn't have much access to help the children keep learning, due to minimum access of internet and books :( Plus, Wangkung doesn't have senior high school (SHS), which means most of the children will get stucked in their junior high school's education. Huft...

So, I and my friends in KKN-PPM UGM Wangkung 2018 are directing a donation :) It's just been started from two days ago (May 16th) until May 31st, 2018. Ups! I didn't mean to not listen my lecture. It's because of my sleepy mood, so I need to do something that can increase my consentration.

So I scrolled my blog, and decided to read an article from Set Apart Girl from Leslie Ludy and team. Pearl, a literature ministry for Indonesian woman (yesterday was its 7th birthday!). Then, my eyes looked on Elisabeth Elliot's biography article. My thoughts randomly remembered about End of the Spear, a film that my youth fellowship watched on our Mission Month three years ago. Elisabeth's husband, Jim Elliot, was died in Ecuador with his Christian evangelical friends because killed by Auca people. You can watch the movie or read Through Gates of Splendor to know more about the story. The men's faith and sacrifice brought a great wave for missions, especially for their families. For example, Elisabeth and Valerie, her daughter, continued their beloved one's mission there.

My point is: how someone can go back to the place where her beloved one killed to serve the people there? Of course they won't. It would bring a great wound for their hearts.

But Elisabeth broke my hypothesis.

She kept serve the people, and her book, Through Gates of Splendor were written based on the other men's families' request. She told how their struggles and what happened after a long time since Operation Auca had been done.


Then, I searched the book through Google (duh, I wanna it haha) and I typed Elisabeth's daughter name there too, Valerie Elliot Shepard :) Though she never met her father before, but she realized that Jim's faith inspired her so much. How could she know about Jim and his faith? Well, of course from her mom and her father's journal too! Wow. I really speechless when Ms. Valerie wrote about Jim's journal that influenced her family's life. I really blessed to know
